4. New Orleans Saints (3-0)
3. Chicago Bears (3-0)
2. Denver Broncos (3-0)
1. Seattle Seahawks (3-0)
- The Jaguars showed once again showed their futility on Sunday. There is some slight hope on the horizon, as Mercedes Lewis and Justin Blackmon will return soon. Like I said, slight.
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-3)
- Mike Glennon is in and Josh Freeman is out. You are probably fooling yourself if you think this is an upgrade, or will solve any problems.
30. Minnesota Vikings (0-3)
- The Vikings lost to the Browns on Sunday, and even Adrian Peterson’s daughter knows how embarrassing that is.
29. New York Giants (0-3)
- The Giants look like a dumpster fire right now. I threw this out on Twitter (@BackyardBanters) the other night, but if this season continues to go to the route of disaster, could Tom Coughlin call it a career?
28. Oakland Raiders (1-2)
- The Raiders really have to hope Terrelle Pryor can play despite suffering a concussion on Monday night. Pryor has exceeded most preseason expectations and the Raiders biggest mission has to be to find out if he could potentially be the long-term starter.
27. Cleveland Browns (1-2)
- I am not going to launch the Browns up after their win on Sunday. If they can win again without the tricks and fake field goal type things, then maybe.
26. Washington Redskins (0-3)
- The Redskins play the Raiders on Sunday. So, if they cannot get on track and fall to 0-4, then they will take a massive plummet.
25. Buffalo Bills (1-2)
- The Bills defense is really banged up right now, and they have not quite established an identity on offense. However, they have been in every game and I bet they will get better throughout the season.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-3)
- The Steelers go across the pond to play the Vikings this week, and even though things can get weird over there, the Steelers better win that game.
23. Arizona Cardinals (1-2)
- I really expected more from the Cardinals, but after getting completely blown out by the Saints, this even feels a little too high for them.
22. Philadelphia Eagles (1-2)
- We have not seen a consistently good Eagles team since the first half of Week One. Michael Vick looked like the old Vick against the Chiefs, and that is not a good thing. Read my review of last Thursday night's game to check out the potential blueprint for stopping the Eagles offense.
21. New York Jets (2-1)
- The Jets are a solid football team, who’d have thought? As long as Geno plays well and they can run the ball, these guys and their tough defense will be a tough out every week.
20. Carolina Panthers (1-2)
- After an absolute dismantling of the Giants, we have to hope the Panthers see their full potential if they stay to this script.
19. St. Louis Rams (1-2)
- The Rams have done nothing but hurt me after I picked them to upset better teams two weeks in a row. Life has taught me not to forgive easily, so expect the Rams to be on “my list” all year.
18. San Diego Chargers (1-2)
- The Chargers blew yet another game they should have won. You know, its crazy to think they could be 3-0 right now and in a very good early position to make the AFC playoffs.
17. Tennessee Titans (2-1)
- The Titans have exceeded my very low expectations from the preseason. Jake Locker finally played a decent game, and if he can keep this up, maybe these first few weeks are not a fluke.
16. Detroit Lions (2-1)
- The Lions actually look like they could be a contender this season, especially with some other teams falling off. If they can keep Reggie Bush healthy for the rest of the way, they might sneak into the playoff picture.
15. Dallas Cowboys (2-1)
- The Cowboys showed what they can do if it all breaks right for them in destroying the Rams. With the rest of their division in shambles, the NFC East is ripe for the taking. If they do not get it done this year, then they never will.
14. Atlanta Falcons (1-2)
- The Falcons are too beat up right now to be considered a true NFC threat. I really think they need to rest guys like Steven Jackson and Roddy White as long as possible. If they have those guys in late October and November, they could get back into this thing.
13. Houston Texans (2-1)
- The Texans finally got burned after two weeks of pretty mediocre play. They need to get it together quickly because Indy looks ready to take this division.
12. Kansas City Chiefs (3-0)
- Of course this is low for an undrafted team, but is anyone really convinced they can beat a powerhouse team with this bland offense? I am not.
11. Indianapolis Colts (2-1)
- That win on Sunday was very impressive, and if the Colts defense and offensive line can show that sort of physicality again, they will rise into the top ten teams.
10. Miami Dolphins (3-0)
- The Dolphins actually might have a complete team; talented weapons, a great defense, and a franchise quarterback. I will say it now, I was way off on them preseason, and I will not be shocked if they win the AFC East.
9. San Francisco 49ers (1-2)
- This is a huge drop for the 49ers, but after getting wrecked two weeks in a row, and with issues surrounding this team, we just cannot consider them an elite team right now.
8. Baltimore Ravens (2-1)
- The Ravens showed us on Sunday they can beat a pretty good team even when thy do not play close to their best football. It may not be pretty, but do not expect Baltimore to go anywhere.
7. Cincinnati Bengals (2-1)
- Even though they made too many mistakes, it was great to see the Bengals beat an upper-echelon team like the Packers.
6. New England Patriots (3-0)
- The Patriots finally blew away one of the bad teams they have been getting the schedule. I am really intrigued to see how they fare against better competition in the Falcons this Sunday.
5. Green Bay Packers (1-2)
- The Bengals played them tough, but that loss still felt pretty fluky. I mean at one point the Packers were literally out of running backs. I will not overreact to their two losses. An early bye week will help this team get back on track.
4. New Orleans Saints (3-0)
- The Saints look poised to run away with the NFC South on the heels of a surprising defense and a still elite offense. I cannot wait to watch their Monday night showdown with the 3-0 Dolphins.
3. Chicago Bears (3-0)
- I told you all about the Bears before the season, and they may actually be better than I expected. With a solid defense and a much-improved offense, they could win the NFC North.
2. Denver Broncos (3-0)
- What else is there to say about this Broncos team? Peyton Manning is running a historic offense, and this defense is exceeding all expectations. By the way, Champ Bailey and Von Miller will be back soon enough, so the best has yet to come.
1. Seattle Seahawks (3-0)
- The Seahawks did a little TCB (taking care of business) on Sunday by blowing out the Jaguars. That is exactly what elite tams do.
